The Namibian Vulture Project (using colour rings) was started in 1991 by Peter Bridgeford and since 2006 we have been using wing tags. Our tags are also yellow with black engraved alpha-numericals, prefixes used are E, F, J, L, R and V.

The people and species involved in the projects are as follows:
Namib-Naukluft Park - Peter Bridgeford and Holger Kolberg, Lappet-faced Vultures only
Etosha National Park - Wilferd Versfeld, Lappet-faced Vultures, White-backed Vultures and White-headed Vultures
Farms - Peter Bridgeford, Holger Kolberg and Dirk Heinrich, Lappet-faced Vultures and White-backed Vultures
